Space puppies!

I certainly don't make a habit of posting often, do I?  Well, here is the latest thing I have been working on.  Ragnar Blackmane.

Cranked this one out in about 6 and a half hours, for a new client in my hometown.

I live!

Finally finished that last comission!  I decided not to swarm the blog with pictures, because they were low "table top" quality, speed jobs.

But, I am now on to comissions that I can take my time with, and my own stuff once again.  It is my OWN stuff that is the point of this post today.  Specifically, progress on the Chaplain Dreadnought!

I pretty much have him done, I just have to do some touch ups here and there, namely the plasma effect on the muzzle.

Slowly but surely...

Slowly but surely I am chipping away at the latest comission.  Life has been very occupying, as of late, so I haven't been able to get this done as fast as I'd have liked.

In this latest update, I have completed the 2nd Librarian and 2 Apothecaries.

Also, I have completed something for myself.  It's a base for competition miniature I am working on. The competition is over at the Relicnews forums painting section. As part of the "large model" catagory, I am submitting a the previously shown Chaplain Dread, and this will be his base

Completed Land Raider and a Librarian in progress

The Land Raider is done!  I'm only showing the Terminus variant here (clearly with the wrong front turret), because I dont feel I need to flood this post with the other variants.

Also, I've begun the next part of this large comission...  the first of 2 Librarians.

The Land Raider, plus all variant parts and hatches, took about 28 hours, total time.

The Librarian, so far, has taken about 4.5 hours.

A Redeemer and some BAs

The large comissions have begun!
First of all, a bit of an update on the last post.  The unit is complete, save for the arms, which JUST arrived.

Next, a Land Raider Redeemer.  This is part of a fair sized Space Marines comission.  The Raider is magnetized, so that it can swap out the doors, hatches, turret and sponsons, so expect to see it a few more times!  I still have yet to do all the weathering on this thing, but it's pretty much done.

More comissioned goodness!

Did some more work on the Blood Angels Honour Guard.  They are missing arms because the client has yet to get the arms to me, but I am cranking these out because I have to get these done soon... why? because I am going to be buried under an avalanche of comissions soon!  LOTS of Tyranids and Space Marine stuff, including a Tervigon Conversion!   O.o;

ANYWAY!  On to the picture!

Some may notice a small quality difference between the new ones and the Sanguinary Priest.  This is because the client wanted to dial back the detail and quality a little, to ease the cost.  I think I managed to keep things looking simalar enough.

Yet another project in progress...

I clearly have a case of ADD with my projects..  OR I just like to do too much at once, take your pick!

Either way, here is my latest project so far.... A Chaplain Venerable Dreadnought

So far just the black and bone areas are done, but the bone will be touched up.

Clearly I'm not really off to a "busy" start for updating this blog, huh?

Well, here is a bit of an update on the things I have been working on.

Firstly, the Venomthrope is nearly done, but has been set aside for comissions, starting up some minis for a painting competition on the RelicNews forums, and just life.  Here is how he looks so far.

Next on the list is a Sanguinary Priest.  This will be part of an Honor Guard unit.  He's basically done, just have to do the jetpack glow, scripture and the base.

Lastly, we have the "In progress" pictures of one of the miniatures for the aforementioned competition. This is the sarge for my Vanguard vets.  He will have a shield eventually.  So far, all I have done is the black armor. I will still be adding a bit more orange rust to the armor chips.

A Venomthrope

After spending SO much time painting up something as mechanical as the Brass Scorpion, I felt it was time for something organic.  Enter a Venomthrope!
So far I just have the skin and poison sacs completed.
The green effect was achieved with a mix of Thrakka Green wash, and Vile Green at ratio of 2:1 with some glaze medium.

OH WELL!  For my first post, I will share with you all my most recent completed project.
